Ban Lan Geng Tea


Traditional Chinese herbal medicine (TCHM) is richly used in Chinese clinics and widely used to treat and prevent respiratory infection disease. Unlike Western medicine, TCHM has different mechanisms and targets of action and, potentially, could be used to overcome drug resistance and side effects.
Ban-Lan-Gen (BLG) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine. It has been used for the prevention and treatment of virus-related respiratory diseases such as influenza virus infection.  Ban Lan Gen Chong Ji a combination of Southern Isatis root, Dandelion herb, and Viola herb, has become one of the most popular herbal beverages in China, and a staple in every household.


Active Ingredients: Baphicacanthus cusia root, Taraxacum mongolicum herb, Viola yedoensis herb. Other ingredients: Cane Sugar.


Instructions: The instructions state add one packet to 1 cup of hot boiling water. Add the boiling hot water to the cup and stir the granules until dissolved. Let cool to desired temperature and drink.

Dosage: Dissolve 1 packet in 1 cup of hot water 3 times daily as needed or as directed by your health care provider.

Main Function:

Main functions are to clear heat-toxicity, cool blood, and relieve sore throat. Main usage and indications are macula due to pestilential toxicity invasion, high fever, headache, infection with swollen head, dark reddish purple tongue, scarlet fever, erysipelas, mumps, pharyngitis, sore boils and bunacles, chicken pox, measles, hepatitis, cold and flu, epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis, epidemic encephalitis B, pneumonia, unconsciousness, hematemesis, bleeding from five sense organs or subcutaneous tissue, swollen throat, pinkeye causing by inflammation, shingles, and osteomyelitis, etc.
